RD is finally home!!

RD came home from her Dad's house today around 11:30. I am so happy to have her back. I took her to GB on Friday around 1. She doesn't go that often, but I still miss having her around when she is gone.

NaNa and the Rainbow

Yesterday NaNa came and surprised Audrie. When we went to pick her up from swimming lessons, NaNa sat quietly in the back with Jake. Audrie hopped in the truck and talked for a few minutes until she finally turned around and saw NaNa. She screamed due to the excitement!

Before dusk, it sprinkled a little bit and then a double rainbow popped out. It was breathtaking! I wish we would have gotten some rain so we wouldn't have to water. Plus, Mark and I want it to hail so we can get a new roof!

Audrie is at a Girl Scouts Camp today. They are making old fashion root beer floats and doing games and crafts. This afternoon they are supposed to go swimming. Hopefully it doesn't rain until they are done!

Fishing!!

Today, Daddy Mo took RD fishing at the fish farm located just outside of Walker. They caught some perch in the catch-and-release pond and then moved over to the catfish pond. When RD got her nibble, Daddy Mo didn't believe her until he saw the pole bent over. He had to reel the fish in!! When the fish came out it was a big one. It weighed in at almost 3 pounds! We had it cleaned and then tonight, enjoyed it on the grill. RD didn't like how it tasted, but we didn't think it was too bad.

Swimming!!

Today, Audrie, Jake and I went to the pool! Audrie loved getting back into the water again. She really loves summer. She went down the fast and slow slides, and also dove off the board a few times. Jake and I walked around the shallow end. He just loves splashing in the water. Of course, I had to lather him up in SPF 50 since he has white skin like his father. Don't want my baby to get a burn!

Tonight for supper we had grilled orange chicken breasts, grilled veggies, and pasta salad. Audrie just loves asparagus and zucchini. I'm glad she likes her veggies! Jake had chicken, mac n cheese, and some nanner. For his evening snack, he ate a whole snack pack of vanilla pudding! He had tapioca pudding for his morning snack too! I just introduced pudding today and I'm glad he enjoys it!

Sunday

Yesterday was Poppo's 80th birthday. Uncle Jon surprised him with an airplane ride over the city of Russell. Poppo was even fortunate enough to drive the airplane a little! Audrie experienced her first time in the sky with Uncle Jon! She loved it and wants to fly again! I don't think Jon realizes all the nagging Audrie is going to do until she flies again. Jake turned 10 months on Saturday. I will post pictures later this week as soon as I buy batteries. Jake knows what a fan is now. If you ask him 'Where's the fan?' he'll look for one and point. He also can turn his body around in both directions while sitting on the floor.
